Recently I’ve been asked by several people to show a timeline or more than just a few highlights from one of my weddings. So…I thought not only would I post more photos, but I also picked them from a wedding that had a last minute DRAMATIC weather change and subsequently changed the layout of the entire day! Talk about every brides fear and yet this bride and her amazing family did the best job of turning a very bad thing into a wedding to remember! The wedding took place outdoors in November 2013 and the weather was forecast to be perfect. YET the night before the ceremony a cold front blew in and it dropped to 20 degrees! On top of that it rained that morning!! The plan was to have the ceremony outside, the reception inside a small cottage, and the dancing and party would take place back outside. Well it was almost impossible to have the wedding inside so with the addition of some heaters and TONS of hand warmers stuffed into places I cannot mention, the ceremony went as planned! IT WAS COLD COLD COLD, but it was amazing and it added to a ton of comedy and laughs! It did throw a damper in some of the extra bridal party photos that I do before and after the ceremony but after surviving the cold from the ceremony, everyone had to go inside to warm up! For the reception, the bride’s family transformed the little cottage into a mini dance floor and buffet! The small space made it more personal and it actually made it even more fun! Everything that could have gone wrong was made perfect because everyone chipped in to help transform the bad into one of the most fun and memorable weddings that I’ve been too! There was even enough room to do the super hero entrance!! You know what they say with life brings you lemons?
