{"id":232,"date":"2009-12-04T22:30:58","date_gmt":"2009-12-05T04:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.munfyblog.com\/blog\/?p=232"},"modified":"2009-12-04T22:30:58","modified_gmt":"2009-12-05T04:30:58","slug":"thanks-to-everyone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.munfyblog.com\/blog\/thanks-to-everyone\/","title":{"rendered":"Thanks to Everyone!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I just want to send a special and heartfelt thanks to all of you that have been patient waiting for your photos these past few weeks! \u00a0I am so grateful too for all your prayers! \u00a0My father is now in the middle of a long road to recovery! \u00a0For those of you whom are unaware of the recent news, I will fill in the backstory.<\/p>\n<p>The early morning before Thanksgiving, my father, whom had never been admitted for any health problems, awoke to a nasty cough. \u00a0After several quick coughing spells he rose from his chair and passed out! \u00a0Upon his fall he busted open his lip. \u00a0As a result we took him to the emergency room and hours later, he was admitted for a series of cardiovascular tests. \u00a0Thanksgiving morning he took and failed a stress test (a brief but brisk walk on a tread mill). \u00a0His doctors order a heart angiogram. \u00a0They found three blockages around his heart. \u00a0One had a 97% blockage, another 67%, and the other 45% blockage. \u00a0They scheduled surgery for the following week! \u00a0&#8230;&#8230;.. \u00a0The next week, Dec 2, 2010 at 9:35 a.m. my dads heart was stopped for over an hour while doctors rewired the arteries around his heart! \u00a0One hour and a half and five minutes later his heart started beating by itself without any electrical help from his surgeons. \u00a0He came out a new man with a new lease on life.<\/p>\n<p>Post-Op &#8212; Day 3&#8212; \u00a0Dad is doing great but has a mile and another mile to go! \u00a0He has a new set of arteries but he will need a great deal of time and work to rebuild the one muscle in your body that takes care of everything else- the heart! \u00a0I know that each day he will recover more and by your prayers and a great team of surgeons, doctors, friends, and family he will be up and running before the summer arrives!<\/p>\n<p>Special thanks! \u00a0To the team of doctors whom were all hand picked by their colleague and fellow doctor and friend&#8211; my dad! \u00a0They all came to his side when he needed them the most and all went the extra mile for him the day of surgery and the days following. \u00a0To my parents friends who lined the hospital waiting room praying every hour before and after my dads surgery! \u00a0To my family for traveling hours to spend every moment with my dad before and after surgery! \u00a0To Citizens hospital in Victory Texas and an their amazing staff of nurses! \u00a0To Dr. Yahagee, for holding my dads heart in his hands! \u00a0And last but not least, to God, for honoring my father and giving him back everything he has given&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for being patient with me as I try and help my mother care for my father. \u00a0I am now back to full edits and will be posting more AMAZING images over the weekend! \u00a0Did I just brag a little?
